This course brings together expertise from industry, academia and policy to provide a comprehensive perspective on the LNG value chain. Technical knowledge is combined with insight into market dynamics, pricing mechanisms and geopolitical developments.Â
LNG is addressed not as an endpoint, but as part of the transition towards lower-carbon energy systems. The programme follows the full value chain, from production and liquefaction to transport, regasification and end use, with a particular focus on Europe.Â
Through lectures, discussions and practical experiences, the programme helps you translate knowledge of LNG directly into your professional context.Â
After this programme you will be able to:Â
- Understand the global LNG landscape and its role in the energy transition, including market dynamics, pricing mechanisms and geopolitical developments.Â
- Navigate the LNG value chain from production and liquefaction to transport, regasification and end use, and identify its key opportunities and challenges.Â
- Analyse Europe’s LNG infrastructure and its contribution to energy security, market flexibility and decarbonisation.Â
- Evaluate the role of alternative fuels such as bio-LNG and e-LNG within a lower-carbon energy system.Â
- Assess LNG applications in road and maritime transport, including relevant technical and regulatory developments.Â
- Apply insights from the site visit to better understand LNG operations, infrastructure and asset management in practice.Â
