In this comprehensive executive programme, you study the implications of the energy transition for the energy industry. You examine the role of public policy, major energy companies and the key innovations that are reshaping technologies and business models.
The programme consists of two modules: one at Nyenrode Business University near Amsterdam and one in Paris. It is delivered by a team of eminent lecturers and organised in cooperation with Nyenrode Business University, RWTH Aachen University of Technology and the International Energy Agency.

In this advanced two-module programme, expert lecturers from universities, global institutions and leading energy companies introduce you to the latest innovations and insights in the international energy transition.
You take a deep dive into key aspects of the energy transition, including innovation dynamics, new business models, the impact of digitalisation and technological innovation on the energy sector, and the roles of key stakeholders such as major energy companies, policymakers, investors and researchers.
The first module lasts four days and takes place at the historic campus of Nyenrode Business University in Breukelen, near Amsterdam. The second module, lasting three days, takes place two months later in Paris and includes contributions from experts from the International Energy Agency and others. Between the two modules, you write an Energy Transition Essay.

Throughout the programme, you have year-round access to all course materials through our dedicated Online Learning Platform. Upon completion, you receive both a physical and digital certificate of participation, which can easily be added to your LinkedIn profile.
Each day includes a well-catered lunch, and every evening includes a group dinner, creating ample opportunities to connect informally with fellow participants.
In Paris, one of these dinners takes place at a special venue: aboard a cruise on the River Seine. You will also enjoy an exclusive visit to the International Energy Agency. Accommodation is not included, but our event managers are happy to assist you in finding a suitable hotel. An event manager is present on site to ensure everything runs smoothly and to support you throughout the programme.

Bert Stuij
Bert Stuij (MSc) is a Senior Expert at our Business School and Manager of National Programs/Energy at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Stuij contributes to our programme development and education with a specific focus on the energy transition. At RVO, he is responsible for policies related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy innovation. In 2022, he was part of the 2050 Energy Systems Expert Team at the Ministry of Climate and Energy of the Dutch government. Previously, Stuij worked in the private sector for Shell, and in various semi-public organizations (Novem) and government agencies (SenterNovem, AgentschapNL). Bert is member of the committee on Energy Research and Technology of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
